virtual reality kids

millions on tv

billion dollar bids

everyone is in a race

all on different teams

based on colors and features

superficial dreams

a reason to be better

whatever it takes to win

the team with the biggest guys

the team I’m going to be in

mediocre in the masses

its those who are free

who practice themselves

content just to be

those individual faces

that stand out in the crowd

the minority of masses

unable to speak aloud

pressure to stay ahead

tv tells us not to lose

showing you the danger

of being free to choose

to leave the race

hand in your shoes

its not about trying to win

just who doesn’t lose
